Another Brick

This intriguing LED wall is a metaphoric parallel between social media alienation and the famous song by Roger Waters “Another Brick in The Wall”.

This song’s view on education is that teachers are more interested in maintaining discipline rather than transmitting their knowledge to the students. Just like social media, shaping our likes and dislikes, the way we move on & offline and even the effect it has on our bodies and faces.

We are surrounded by data recognition and exchanges throughout mobile networks. Now with 5G technology and a simple device like a mobile phone, we have the capability of always being connected. That’s why the installation reacts to the audience’s phones. Another brick represents how governments and corporations control what each person streams out throughout social media.

Framemov is trying to bring awareness to our interaction with the digital world. Our installation helps us present this vision to people through art. As Rogers said: “We don’t need no thought control”.
